Boston

Today I toured the great city of Boston, and saw the site where the Boston Massacre occurred, toured The Old North Church, visited Paul Revere's house, and chatted with his ghost, and even got a tour of the USS Constitution, nicknamed "Old Ironsides"!! I found out many interesting fun facts, including that the side of the USS Constitution is not actually made from iron, but white oak with a central layer of live oak. The sides of the USS Constitution are 17-21" thick, and it has won all 33 of the battles that it has fought!!! Also, did you know that the Americans actually lost the Battle of Bunker hill, but that they considered it a moral victory, since they killed British soldiers 2 to 1!!! Also, Paul Revere had 16 children by two wives. The Old North Church is still an Episcopal Community, and the interior of the church, painted white, is full of ox-pews, boxed in pews designed to keep people warm!!!
The tour also took us past MIT. Did you know that Boston has 88 four year universities, and that 250,000 college students come to the city during school time? College is the 2nd largest industry in the city, behind finance.
This is an awesome city with many beautiful buildings and a great history.
