Molasses Cookies

Here's some molasses cookies that are so GOOD!  I found them somewhere on the internet, but don't know where anymore so can't credit them.  But anyway, I highly recommend!  Think that the cardamom adds an extra kick.

Brown Butter Molasses Cookies

1/2 cup unsalted butter
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons soda
1.5 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon ginger
3/4 teaspoon cardamom (ground)
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 egg
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup molasses
1/4 cup brown sugar
Raw sugar for rolling.

Brown the butter in a saucepan for five minutes, then let cool.
Mix all of the dry ingredients.
Mix all of the wet ingredients (be sure to not add the egg to the butter until it's cool or else the egg might cook).
Refrigerate for 1-24 hours.
Roll dough into small balls (about 1" wide), then roll in the raw sugar.
Place cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet and drop with 1-2 drops of water (optional, but this creates the creases in the cookies)
Bake at 275 for about 15 minutes.  Check them at 10 minutes.
Cool on a wire rack.
